Background

Strathburn School has been in existence since 1977. However, in February 2001 the school was totally destroyed by fire.  The school was rebuilt on the same site and was officially opened on 27th August 2002 by the Princess Royal.

Strathburn School is a modern, environmentally friendly, Primary School situated in the large and growing rural town of Inverurie. We have over 400 school pupils. The school is open plan and has 16 primary classes and a nursery. The school is fortunate to have many modern facilities and resources that the pupils can access.

Through the principles of  Girfec Strathburn School aims to maintain and improve the learning and achieving for every pupil. This is only achievable through working in partnership with parents, carers and the local community, and because of this we recognise that the liaison between home and school is vitally important.
